Feeling comfortable riding 20 miles on a single ride? Let's build you up so you're comfortable with 40 miles. Total program will cover 200+ miles in 6 weeks.

About the Event

Who is this for: Cyclists looking to transition from leisurly riding to endurance riding. Road and hybrid bikes are recommended. As always, please consult with your doctor before starting any training program.


  • Must be able to fix your own flat (see classes here)

Want to become more comfortable riding longer? Join this 6-week training program (30+hrs) where we’ll gradually add miles and elevation each week. Challenge yourself at YOUR own pace all while becoming a stronger and smarter cyclist.


  • 30+ hours of fully guided routes that are mostly bike friendly
  • 5 weekday Wednesday morning sessions (~1-1.5hrs each session) with a focus on quality fitness rides (some climbing) starting at 6:30AM at Rockrdige BART Station 
  • 6 Saturday morning sessions (~20 total hours) focused on building endurance and exploring

In one month, you’ll:

  • Be equipped with knowledge on best practices for group riding
  • Have a better understanding of how to gauge if a ride is fit for you
  • Build your endurance and confidence on the road
  • Completed over 200 miles in 6 weeks! 


Wednesdays, 1-2 hours (~8-16miles) each session.

Saturdays, starting at 9:00am, each Saturday duration will vary depending on distance

Week - 20 miles

Week 2 - 25 miles

Week 3 - 30 miles

Week 4 - 35 miles

Week 5 - 35 miles

Week 6 - 40 miles


Wednesdays - Rockridge BART, 6:30AM (mornings have more light)

Saturdays - All start at Rockridge BART station unless stated otherwise.
